Chief Technology Officer & Founder

Founder of SmartAuger and, subsequently, the GroundScope operating entities. More than 15 years as an IBEW journeyman lineman, leading crews in live-line and aviation work.

Naomi Ganoe

Chief Financial Officer

Oversees finance and reporting for the company, and serves on its board of directors.

Frank Williams

Vice President of Operations

Runs operations and supply chain, keeping units built, shipped, and supported.

Chris Kenney

SVP, Sales & Marketing

Sales leadership background in the GPR and locating industry, including management roles at Radiodetection (SPX) and Sensors & Software. Leads the hybrid direct and distributor go-to-market.

Dave Chaney

Chief Development Officer

Leads product development and manufacturing, taking the unit from a working design to one that can be built in volume.

Lou Busick

Engineering Director

Leads engineering delivery for the GroundScope product, from design through to the units crews use in the field.

Dr. Nathan Stein

Lead Data Scientist

Ph.D. in planetary science from Caltech. Worked on hyperspectral remote sensing with NASA's Mars Perseverance mission team, and now applies that discipline to reading the ground.

Dr. Manan Sarupria

Remote Sensing & Computation Scientist

Ph.D. from the University of Delaware. Previously at Matter Intelligence and NASA Ames/BAERI, working in advanced remote sensing, physics-informed machine learning, and geospatial AI. Now applies that work to reading radar.

Wesley Bragg

Head of Field Data Collection

U.S. Army veteran and journeyman lineman with field leadership experience. Leads the field data collection campaigns that the detection models are trained on.

Dr. Chi-Chih Chen

Antenna Research, Contractor

Research professor at The Ohio State University ElectroScience Laboratory. Works with GroundScope under contract on the fully polarimetric antenna.

More than 45 years in utility contracting. Former owner and president of J.W. Didado, serving more than 26 major utilities across the Northeast.
